Elvin Ting is the Founder of Orange Room Pte Ltd, a leading Asia Pacific sports marketing agency and the creator of TriFactor Asia, focusing on building intellectual properties and technologies to help communities achieve their health, fitness, and wellness goals through events, programmes, and education.

"Our IP model, combined with our regional footprint and strong brand loyalty, puts us in a powerful position to grow."

1. Orange Room has come a long way since 2008. Can you share your journey in creating the business?

Orange Room started in 2008 with a simple idea: to build a social platform that connects communities through sport. Over the years, this mission evolved. We realised we could do more than just organise events; we could build an IP-driven company that empowers partners across the region to deliver meaningful experiences under our brands. It has been 17 years of learning, pivoting, and scaling, but the goal has always remained the same: to bring people together through movement.

2. Orange Room has matured beyond just a Swim, Bike, Run company. How has it transformed?

Today, Orange Room is firmly positioned in the sports, health, and wellness space. We focus on creating experiences that support healthier lifestyles for communities. In 2023, we introduced our first sustainability-themed concept, the Great Green Run. In 2025, we expanded into ocean conservation with the Great Ocean Dash. These milestones show how we’ve grown from a pure sports organiser into a company that blends wellness, community impact, and environmental purpose.

3. Orange Room has moved into sustainability and environmental events. Is this part of your long-term strategy, and do you plan to bring these concepts regionally?

Absolutely. Sustainability is core to our future. Our planet is our playground — if we don’t protect it, there is no stage for sport. Concepts like the Great Green Run and Great Ocean Dash are designed not just for Singapore, but for regional expansion. We want to engage communities across Asia in meaningful environmental action through sports.

4. How has Orange Room grown in terms of headcount, events, and revenue?

We’ve grown steadily over the years by focusing on value creation for our partners. Orange Room now works with licensees across Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, and China. Together with our Singapore events, we are on track to host at least 20 TriFactor events across Asia by 2028. This regionalisation has allowed us to strengthen our presence while keeping our team agile and efficient.

5. What is your greatest challenge in managing a regional sports company?

Finding the right partners with the right mindset. The sports and wellness industry requires passion, discipline, and long-term thinking. We need partners who believe in community, quality, and sustainability — not just quick wins.

6. How does Orange Room stay competitive in today’s business environment?

We stay competitive by focusing on what we do best: serving our community. We keep our operations lean and optimise costs by working closely with strategic partners. This allows us to deliver consistent value to our sponsors, participants, and licensees while staying adaptable in a changing landscape.

7. As Orange Room is currently fundraising, what is your message to investors?

Orange Room is a highly scalable business with multiple revenue streams yet to be fully unlocked. Our IP model, combined with our regional footprint and strong brand loyalty, puts us in a powerful position to grow. We are building a sustainable ecosystem — not just events — and the potential is significant.

8. Lastly, what is your ultimate vision for Orange Room?

My vision is for Orange Room to become the sporting practice of life — a lifelong companion that supports every individual’s health, fitness, and wellness goals from young to old. We want to be the platform that encourages people to move, connect, and live well, for life.
